Mubashir Luqman has been accused of being on the payroll of various influential people and fringe outlawed Muslim sects. These include Chaudry Shujat[2] and Malik Riaz[3]
On July 30, 2010, a plea against Mubashir Luqman was dismissed. Mian Mehmood, a resident of PECHS, Block 6, Karachi, had filed a petition in the court of additional district and sessions judge (east), Sanaullah Ghori. The petitioner held that on June 2, 2010, the channel broadcasted its programme (Point-Blank with Luqman) in which spiritual leader of Qadianis Ghulam Ahmad was also invited, “which hurt my and millions of fellow Muslims’ religious sensibilities”, said the petitioner.[4]
On 7 September 1974, The Parliament of Pakistan through a unanimous vote declared Qadianis non Muslims and this act of Parliament received the assent of the President and was made law.[5]
Mubashir Luqman has been accused of having affairs with film actresses Resham and Zara Sheikh.[6]
After his interview with Malik Riaz dubbed the Interview Gate Fiasco, Mubashir Luqman was accused of running away from the country to avoid a judicial probe in the interview scandal.[7]
Mubashir Luqman was fired from Dunya TV after the Malik Riaz Interview was Leaked.[8][9][10]
According to reports from Dunya TV, Nasim Zehra, Director Current Affairs has resigned to protest against the non-professional practices going on within the Dunya TV vis a vis Mubashir Luqman’s interview with Malik Riaz.[11][12]
Mubashir Lucman who hosted a two-hour long current affairs show with real estate tycoon, Malik Riaz was suspended over his on-air and off-air remarks in the interview.[13]
In his replies on Twitter Mubashir Lucman expressed to answer all accusations against him.[14]
On 16 July 2012, Mubasher Lucman New promo was released on ARY News which is actually a rip-off of a less-viewed YouTube video ‘I am an Entrepreneur’.[15]
